A chain-link fence is one of the cheapest ways to fortify your house or a specific portion of your land. Here are the quick and easy steps on chain-link fence installation.
Tip: Before starting your fence installation, it is essential to check for any local building codes or regulations for fencing. Also, be sure that your fence is within your property line.
Step 1: The first step is to use batter boards, string lines, and stakes to mark out your fence layout. Your first stake should be at the corner-most part of your chain-link fence area, and this is where you will put your stake and tie your string line.
Step 2: Mark your terminal posts using your stakes. Terminal posts are your corner posts, gate posts, and end posts. Your post can be 6 feet part, so be sure to have steel tape to measure it evenly.
Step 3: Dig the spots where you’ve marked your posts with stakes. Remove the stakes, and start digging using a shovel.
Step 4: Install the posts. To layer your posts equally, it is important to mark each of your posts using a tape measure so they will be leveled equally after installation.
Step 5: Install the fence rails between posts and lock everything. After that, layer out your fence fabrics onto the post and clamp them. Do this for all the posts you’ve installed. Once every fencing fabric is installed, install your exit gate.
